Smith & Wesson 2nd model American, .44 caliber single action revolver, 8” barrel, nickel finish, wood grips, 29542. The revolver retains 30-50% original to the period nickel finish which is flaking andlifting and the areas where the finish have lifted have gone dark with some pitting and erosion that varies from light to slightly heavy. The metal surfaces are completely uncleaned and unpolished and in theiroriginal state. The grips are good to very good and show some edge wear, no cleaning. The barrel address is sharp, edges fairly crisp. The action is good, bore is good and may clean. The pistol locks tight. Anunmolested American that was found in an old Texas collection.
