Shipped from the Smith & Wesson factory originally on December 11, 1911. features the scarce six inch barrel with target sights. Two line address/patent dates marked on top of the barrel with "22 S&W CTG" on the left side. S&W logo on the left side of the frame. Blue finish with casehardened trigger and hammer and fitted with smooth walnut grips with S&W medallions. Matching numbers on the cylinder, butt and barrel with a factory rework "star" marked on the butt. Complete with two extra sets of fair grips and a factory letter that verifies the barrel length, target sights, blue finish and smooth walnut grips. The letter also states the revolver was returned to the factory in April of 1948 for unstated rework or refinishing.

Condition: Fine as factory refurbished. The barrel retains 99% of the factory refinished blue with only light handling marks overall. The frame shows 80% of the original blue with some thinning and a smooth brown patina on the balance. The cylinder retains 75% of the original thinning blue with light pitting scattered overall. The grips are excellent with a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The extra grips are very good to excellent.
