Smith & Wesson 1st model, 2nd issue, .22 caliber 7-shot revolver, blue and silver finish, rosewood grips, backstrap period script engraved “O. L. Young”. The barrel shows traces of blue that has mostly drifted. The frame shows most of its original silver. The cylinder has retained 80-90% blue. The hammer shows most of its case hardening. The varnish rosewood grips are very good plus to near fine with some slight edge wear. Thereis some pinprick pitting on the barrel and cylinder. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp. Action good, bore good. Name may be researchable. Serial #78531. Est: $400 - $800
