Consisting of beaded belt, pipe, stem and silver gamblers box. This lot includes documentation as such: A letter from James Heard stating he purchased the pipe from Mrs. Miller at her estate outside Pearce, AZ and a letter signed by Mrs. Miller stating that the pipe was given to her by her grandmother, it was formerly in the possession of her grandfather Fred J. Macy and was given to him by Sitting Bull after the two of them smoked out of it in 1886. Also included are portraits of Mr. Macy, family history and a photo of Mrs. Miller with the pipe and other items. The bowl measures 7.5" x 3.75", is red in color, shows an old repair and is inscribed "Ashton. D.T. Aug.23.86." The stem measures 21" and is constructed of geometric carved wood. The belt measures 56", is adorned brass tacks and glass seed beads in a lovely geometric pattern using white, blues, yellow, red, pink & green. Gamblers box is monogrammed "FJM" with playing cards, stamped WND Silver and contains three rattle snake rattles. Overall collection is in good condition with good provenance.
