Available for purchase is this terrific Northern Plains Sioux Native American Indian inlaid and polychrome painted pipe bowl & stem dating to the late 19th Century. The pipe bowl is hand carved of pipestone catlinite and shows an artfully inlaid set of four silver / pewter rings around the smoking chamber. The flat wood stem has early green, red and black polychrome mineral paints and a brass tack design. This is truly one of the more detailed and early pipes we have offered for sale showing excellent quality. The bowl measures 8 ¼ inches in length by 4 ¾ inches tall. The wood stem measures 26 inches long.
