The lot features a late 19th Century Eastern Plains Native American Indian gunstock spontoon war club attributed to the Sioux Indians. This circa 1860-1880’s Indian Wars era piece shows a typical gunstock solid wood haft being set with a notch-cut Revolutionary War style spontoon blade that has a 5 inch length. The gripping area features a wrapping with old trade clothe and muslin cloth lacing. The piece displays very well and is in good condition.
