This is a wonderful set of fully beaded Warrior’s Moccasins from the Sioux Native American Indians of the 20th Century. The moccasins feature a heavy Indian tanned hide with sinew rawhide stitching and excellent traditional geometric beadwork showing glass trade seed beads in chalk white, semi-transparent dark green, corn yellow, semi-transparent dark red, and semi-transparent dark blue. These also show a unique two prongs drop along the top and folded ankle. The moccasins are in the same design and stylings of the coup staff, war shirt, headdress, loincloths, and leggings (with each being sold separately). These were all displayed on the Indian mannequin sold after these pieces. Each Moccasin measures approximately 10 3/4" long, 4 3/8" wide, and 4 5/8" to the top of the ankle of the moccasin. The entire ensemble was purchased for over $12,500 by the current Paradise Valley Livingston, Montana private Early American Artifact Collection.
