The lot features a wonderful fully bottom beaded tobacco pipe bag from the Sioux Native American Indians and dating to the early to mid 1900's. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction that boast both sinew and trade thread sewing. The bottom of the bag shows long hand cut Indian tanned hide fringe. The top of the bag shows a unique rolled scalloped edge that shows a fancy beaded border in cobalt and orange seed beads. The bottom shows a fully beaded panel on both sides in all glass trade seed beads having a geometric pattern. One side shows a chalk white background with round pinwheel design in blue, orange, red white hearts, and cobalt with a stripped edge. The other side shows the same chalk white background with a stepped diamond pattern in red white hearts and cobalt. The bag also shows the original tie with beaded ends. At the end of the ties shows an older museum collection identification tag that is marked "B1304 (something) 5174" and "CJ JJ". Provenance: From a large Native American weapons and beadwork collection in Great Falls, Montana. Measures overall 22.5"L x 6.5"W.
