Single action pinfire revolver circa about 1859 by Lefaucheux of Paris in near fine original condition with blue and case hardened finish in its original to the period velveteen lined partition style case. The pistol measures 12 ¼”overall with a 6 ¼” barrel in military style with 11 mm bore. This pistol is serial numbered 204027 and may have been an officer’s private purchase. The barrel and cylinder show 40% to 60% original blue that is flaking and areas where the finishhas lifted are gone to a light patina with super crisp metal surfaces. The frame, trigger guard and mounts show 75% to 85% bright and colorful case hardening. The commercial quality varnished wood grips are also near fine with 80% to 90% originalvarnish showing just some minor storage scratches and handling marks. The interior shows very little to almost no use and the bore is bright. The case is lined in green velveteen with Lefaucheux A’ Paris embossed in the lid. The case contains apowder dipper, a rod and handles for tools which are missing their heads along with a small accessory box. The case retains its original compartment cover.
