This lot provides you the opportunity to bid on this beautifully supple silver/ white fox fur coat. The coat shows wonderful beige and white coloring; it has two waist pockets, a detachable hood, a leather sash, and a closure near the top of the coat, at the collar.. The original owner's name is stitched into the inside lining. The coat was purchased new from Robinson's in California. J.W. Robinson's started as a dry goods store in the wild west days of Los Angeles, CA. Robinson's became a luxury staple among Southern California department stores. "For many customers, Robinson's distinctive 'signature' logo...itself [was] indicative of status, quality, and distinction." (The Department Store Museum Online) The tag on the inside of this jacket bears that distinctive logo. There is no size marking on the inside; the coat measures 35" from the top of the collar to the bottom hem, 47" from sleeve tip to sleeve tip, 24" sleeves, and a 45" long hem at the bottom. The coat appears to be in good condition; but it does have bare spots under the arms, extending down the length of each sleeve. There are also a couple of rips to the inside lining.
