Included in this lot are two signed, Olaf C. Seltzer Native American prints. One print is of a brave with a bare chest, holding a spontoon pipe tomahawk. The second print is of an Indian in winter dress, holding a rifle in a soft leather scabbard. Olaf C. Seltzer (1877-1957) was a machinist for the Great Northern Railroad in Great Falls, Montana and started painting in watercolor and oil. In his lifetime, Seltzer turned out over 2,500 paintings. A large collection of his work is owned by the Gilcrease Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The condition of these prints is good, with no obvious signs of damage to the prints; the frame on the larger one shows some scratches. The measurements of the larger framed print are 12" x 9 3/4" and the visible art measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2"; the smaller framed print measures 11" x 9" and the visible art measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2.
