Manufactured late 1968. This revolver features beautiful factory Class "A" floral scroll engraving covering the barrel and lug side, frame, cylinder flats between the flutes and trigger guard. This revolver is signed under the grips on the left side of the frame by master engraved Russ Smith who worked at Smith & Wesson from 1955-1985. Standard barrel markings in panels, "S&W" logo on the lower left rear of the frame in a circle and the four line address on the lower right front of the frame. Raised ramp front blade sight with red insert, adjustable rear target sight, blue finish with checkered wide hammer target hammer and smooth target trigger, serrated back strap and fitted with smooth varnished Goncalo Alves grips with silver S&W medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the factory Class "A" engraving, blue finish, 4" barrel and smooth Goncalo Alves target grips and that it was shipped to Ray O'Herron Co., Danville, Illinois on January 10, 1969. Complete in a wooden presentation case with glass lid and fitted tan velvet lining.
