Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
This pair of earrings is a perfect example of micro inlay, the arrow shape design crafted in onyx is set in sterling silver feature opal, lapis and coral. Earrings measure approximately 22 mm long 10 mm wide and weigh approximately two and a half grams each for a total weight of 5 grams. Both earrings a stamped sterling and signed S/S (Sherry Sandoval Hallmark).
