Sharps model 1874 sporting rifle, 42-1/4” straight case, 30” medium to heavy weight octagon barrel, standard stock with steel milled buttplate, sharps type rear sight with folding beach front sight. Sharps letter states invoice march 1877 to E.S. Harris, weight 11lbs, 7 oz. Price $42. Confirms barrel and caliber. The barrel shows 75-85% original thinning and toning blue finish, the frame shows 30-50% case hardening drifting to silver and brown with some erosion, pinprick pitting, and normal age. The stocks are good with nice grain to the forend, considerable original varnish. Some darkening, scratches, normal use, but at least good to very good overall. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
