Sharps New Model conversion to 50-70 cartridge in good to very good condition, serial #C7406. The barrel retrains 30-50% blue turning brown with no Sharps markings visible and the breech has been marked withhand held dye stamps, 50-70. The frame shows Sharps markings and correct serial number and approx 20% case hardening drifting to silver with some light pitting and erosion just starting. The stocks are very good with a visible cartouche at left center of butt stock and some minor storage marks and bruises. The butt plate matches the frame, correct Lawrence marked rear sight and original small parts except ring removed.The fore end shows a small loss at the front top edge. The barrel shows three groove rifling with very good bore and measures 22”. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$1,000-$2,000.
