Sharps New Model carbine converted to .50-70 cal. by arsenal, serial #54008. The barrel shows 75-85% original blue evenly drifting and toning with some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The action,lock, butt plate and patchbox show 20-40% case hardening drifting to brown. The stocks are very good with a few storage mars and dings and 2 sharp cartouches E F and D F C. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp,the bore is near excellent. These early Indian War carbines are increasingly sought after due to increasing information as to their use by Texas Rangers, Buffalo Soldiers and cartridge cases found at battle sights in Wyoming and Montana. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
