Sharps Model 1874 sporting rifle, .45 2-1/10" cal., 30" octagon barrel, double set triggers, blue and case hardened finish, shipped May 27, 1879 to A. J. Plate & Co., San Francisco, CA who was a well knownwestern dealer. The barrel shows 75-85% original blue dulling and toning slightly, with some beginning erosion and pinprick pitting just starting on the left side of the barrel. The markings are sharp, the edgesare crisp, the frame, lever and hammer show 20-40% case hardening, drifting to silvery gray patina. The stocks are good to very good with nice wood to metal fit, some scratches, mars, normal aging and about 75%varnish. The original period sights and small parts are retained, the action is good, the bore is very good and still bright with strong rifling. Est.: $6,000-$12,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
