Sharps Model 1874 single shot Sporting rifle, .45 cal., 2-7/8” case, rare 30” half round/half octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #160090. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a brown and silvery tone barrel with traces of color on receiver that has gone to brown and a silvery toning; action is good, double set rear trigger needs adjustment, bore is good overall with strong rifling;barrel is numbered to receiver with another number 158084 present but crossed out; fore stock shows heavy pommel wear with mars and an old loss to the right top edge; butt stock is good with some scattered mars and dingswith checkered steel shotgun butt plate. Accompanied by a factory letter indicating the gun was invoiced at the Bridgeport factory on December 22, 1877 to Schuyler, Hartley and Graham, wholesales in New YorkCity, confirming features with additional note that the crossed out number on the barrel was found in the records as in a case of 10 Model 1874 Military rifles shipped to Carlos Gove & Sons, Denver, Colorado and
