Sharps Model 1874 Sporting rifle, .44 cal., 32” octagon barrel with period engraved “T. O’Hare” inscription on the top flat of the barrel at the breech, blue and case hardened finish, checkered deluxe wood stocks, doubleset triggers, folding rear tang sight, #156215. This gun is in overall very good to near fine condition showing considerable original muted blue finish on the barrel with correct Lawrence rear sight, ample traces of original case color on the receiver and hammer with balance gone to a silvery tone; very good bore, crisp action, double set triggers working at time of description; sharp markings; barrel is #156215, receivernumber is not visible on tang where period tang sight was affixed; wood fore stock is checkered with inside marked in pencil “Adam Nedner”; butt stock has checkered pistol grip and beautifully grained wood showing an oldrepaired crack at the wrist; portion of lower tang is checkered. This gun is accompanied by a factory letter dated June 15, 1987 indicating that serial number 156215 was located in the original Sharps Rifle Company

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
