Sharps Mdl 1874 Cal .45 SN:159774 with copy of factory letter shipped to S.H. & G. Co. of New York, Jan 1878, 30" octagon barrel, double set triggers, 9 lbs 12 oz, Hartley and Gramm were jobbers and many of their rifles were shipped West. The rifle shows a large silver blade front site which is oversized, standard rear site, good metal surfaces drifted to brown, weathered and worn wood stocks with some chips and losses and butt plate purposefully removed as was the Indian tradition. The markings are good,action tight, bore surprisingly excellent. A rifle that saw use on the Frontier and was probably shipped West. Sold by Auction Productions at this location for noted collector John Kopec nearly a decade ago. By our recollection it had some oralhistory as being found in a cave and carried by Indians. No documentation to this effect.

All Post 1898 firearms are register able and must be registered in compliance with both Arizona and Federal Laws. Buyers of Post 1898 firearms must complete all necessary registration forms at Auction Productions 3525 S. Hwy 69 Humboldt, AZ 86329. Arizona Dealers must have on possession on the day of the sale signed copies of their Federal Firearms License. The highest bidder will prevail. The Auctioneer will regulate the bidding and reserves the right to refuse any bid not believed to be in good faith. Should any disputes arise between bidders, the decision of the Auctioneer in the exercise of judgement as to the successful bidder will be final. Additionally the Auctioneer may re-offer or resell any lot in dispute.
A 16% Buyers Premium will be charged on all sales.
The Auctioneer or Auction House assumes no responsibility for errors in the catalog, advertising or on the part of the bidder.
All items purchased by the successful bidder must be paid for on the day of sale. Purchases not paid within 14 days of final sale date will b e charged a 5% Late Charge, all accounts past due will accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month on the unpaid balance and compounded monthly. Storage will be provided at no charge for 14 days following the sale date and then at a rate of $5.00 per item per day unless prior arrangements have been made. Shipping is the responsibility of the Buyer and the Buyer must make all Shipping or Delivery arrangements on large items. Smalls will be packed and shipped by us at the buyer’s expense. We do not charge other than exact cost for smalls creating and shipping. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the Buyer.
