Scottish All Steel Flintlock Pistol
The pistol is without maker's name. Produced without sights, with engraved bands on the barrel, "P/ crossed scepters" stamp on the left side and light engraving at the breech. The lock plate is decorated with scroll engraving and fitted with a high fenced flashpan and a sear that is externally visible when the hammer is cocked. Smooth steel pistol grip stock, with a metal ramrod, ball trigger, belt hook and a flared ramshorn style butt with a touchhole cleanout pin.

Condition: Good as cleaned, with a bright smooth satin gray patina overall. Scattered pitting and handling marks overall. A few small chips are visible on the front underside of the stock, which shows a few areas of salt and pepper looking patina. Mechanically excellent. A very nice example of a Scottish All Steel pistol.
