Manufactured in 1884, this was the final revolver in the New Line series. Fixed sights, with the two line address and the acid etched "NEW POLICE 38" panel on the barrel, "38 CAL" on the left side of the frame and the serial number on the butt. Fitted with a smooth niter blue spur trigger and checkered hammer (sides polished), niter blue screws, cylinder pin and release, "bulls eye" style ejector rod head, and black checkered hard rubber grips embossed with the "cop and thug" scene on the bottom and "COLT" in an oval at the top. Colt only manufactured approximately 4,000 New Police Revolvers from 1882 to 1886.

Condition: Fine, with strong original blue concentrated in the protected areas, and a mottled gray patina on the balance. The front sight has been lowered slightly, and the panel has faded. The grips are also fine showing very little wear, with light handling marks. Mechanically needs minor adjustment.
