Manufactured circa 1941-1942 on orders from the German Weapons Office, the G41(M) uses the "Bang" pattern gas trap seen on other early German semi-automatics, in combination with a bolt action style, non-reciprocating mismatched number bolt handle. On the first shot the bolt would be used to chamber a round and cock the striker, with the follow-up shots being gas-operated semi-automatic, with the option to revert to the bolt in event of a gas system failure. Hooded blade front and notch rear sight, with the distinctive gas trap at the muzzle, "G.41(M)/1942" on the receiver ring, and the two position safety switch on the hinged dust cover. With a smooth hardwood stock, fitted with milled barrel bands, a brown leather sling and a cupped buttplate.

Mechanically very good.
