This will make an excellent turn-key type of Machine Gun display set that includes many original WWI and WWII components. The most interesting components are a set of original original WWI era, German MG Trench armor. This set includes an original 1917 German Helmet with the front reinforcing plate for the helmet that is a 1/4 inch thick, which hooks onto the ventilator horns on the side of the helmet. Also includes the large, heavy steel breast plate with the three lower articulated torso steel plates. This set is constructed from steel plates 3/20ths of an inch thick, and is of the typical style that was produced for use by machine gunners and snipers during WWI, and is what you usually see in the WWI and WWII German newsreels. Also include are two MG34 display guns, each has a majority of the original parts, (barrels, folding bipods, barrel jackets, feed trays and buttstock, and one MG34 bolt assembly) with both assembled on dummy receivers. Also included with this display set are 2 each, MG34 double magazine drums, both with carriers, one single magazine drum with linked, dummy ammunition, a folding MG34 type field tripod with new made anti-aircraft extension, a spare MG34 barrel with metal carrying case, a near complete WWII MG 34 armors kit (except missing one wooden handle) in the original metal storage can, a MG34 linker machine stored in an original storage can, a field cleaning kit in leather carrying case with anti-aircraft sight and a Swiss "Wichmann" marked optical sight with a separate battery powered light source.
