Our Assessment: Winchester’s line of pump-action rimfire rifles was extremely popular. There are likely millions of children who learned to shoot on these rifles and Winchester had a model available from 1890 until well after WWII. The Model 62 was produced from 1932 to 1959 with over 400,000 guns sold. This example was manufactured in 1936. This well preserved model 62 has "5" Spot marked inside a circle on the left side of the stock, is chambered for .22 Short and has the triangular "gallery gun" loading cut in the magazine tube. As the brand indicates, this rifle was used in the ''5'' SPOT shooting gallery in Michigan during the mid to late 1930's. This is a rare chance for a genuine vintage gallery gun to add to your collection.
