Scarce Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Trapper Carbine with ATF Exemption Letter
Manufactured in 1902. Blade front sight and folding rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the model trade mark, nickel steel and caliber marking and the opposite with the two line address. The upper tang is marked with the three line trademark information and the serial number appears on the bottom front of the receiver. Full tubular magazine, smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine style buttplate. Accompanied by a letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives dated Feb. 01 2010 listing this carbine as one of five carbines being removed from the NFA (National Firearms Act) and classified as a curio and relic.

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains traces of the original finish in the protected areas of the sights and on the breech end. The balance has a smooth brownish patina. There is some pitting on the heel of the buttplate. The wood is good, with the right side of the stock being darker than the remaining wood, otherwise there are overall scattered minor scuffs, dents and scratches. The forearm has a pleasant hand rubbed patina. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is fine.
