The "480" code P38 pistols were manufactured in late 1940 and represented the first true military contract pistol with 7,250 made. The "480" code is stamped on the left side of the slide (double stamped) and trigger guard. "Eagle/359" proofs are present and visible numbers match. The magazine is numbered to the gun. Comes with a 1942 dated "jln" holster and an extra un-numbered magazine.
