Manufactured circa 1807 to 1940 with this example fitted with the rare 1 1/2 inch barrel. The included factory letter confirms the barrel length, finish and grips. The revolver was shipped on September 8, 1938 to Foster-Thronberg, Huntington, West Virginia. Matching serial number on butt, cylinder, barrel and latch. The barrel has the caliber marking on the right side and "SMITH & WESSON" marked on the left side, with the right side marked with the S&W trademark and "MADE IN U.S.A." Fitted with checkered S&W monogram grips.
