Manufactured between 1971 and 1973. This is an excellent example of a rare pre-ban "fixed stock" Valmet Rifle in the desirable .233 caliber as imported by Interarms. Valmet produced some of the best AK-style rifles in the world. It has the heavier stamped receiver and top cover with an adjustable white dot rear sight graduated to 500 meters and a semi-hooded front sight that is equipped with a flip-up night sight. It also has the three-prong flash hider with bayonet lug. The receiver has the caliber and importer markings on the right side and the Valmet logo on the left side. Original checkered plastic forearm and pistol grip stock and a walnut buttstock with sling swivel and serrated plastic buttplate. With a leather sling.
