Measuring 14 1/4 inches wide, 6 1/2 inches deep and 2 1/4 inches tall, this mahogany case is configured for a Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver. The exterior is unmarked, with a green cloth lining across the bottom panel and a blank inscription plate, 1 7/8 inches wide and 3/4 inch tall. American-style interior, with green felt lining and 5 internal compartments, which contain a working key, ball and conical bullets, a 2-chamber brass mold with sprue cutter, an "L" shaped screwdriver/nipple wrench, and a partial box of 44 caliber D.C. Sage combustible cartridges.

Condition: Fine, with mild chipping and scratches on the attractive varnished exterior, and a few cracks in the lid. The interior is fine, with a mended break in one of the dividers, mild rubbing wear, and a small amount of fading, showing over 70% of the original attractive green color. A superb piece that would enhance a fine 1851 Navy Revolver.
