Scarce Nazi Proofed Norwegian Model 1889 Krag Jorgensen Bolt Action Rifle with Nazi Bayonet
This is an example of a Model 1889 Danish Krag rifle made under occupation of the Nazi's in late WWII. These rifles were similar to the American made Krag rifles as manufactured by Springfield Armory from 1892-1898. The left side of the receiver is marked "69" and the top of the receiver ring is marked "NA 1943-669 followed by two "eagle/WaA8" (one very small), and Nazi firing proofs. The only other visible marking on the rifle is "669" on the left side of the stock ahead of the receiver and a "eagle/WaA84" proof on the right side ahead of the magazine. The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2200 meters. Mounted with a full one piece pistol grip stock with matching hand guard, flat steel buttplate and sling swivels. Complete with a bayonet with a smooth wooden handle and metal scabbard. The right side of the blade is marked with a "crown/K".
