1) Von Lengerke & Detmold of New York City Mauser Arms catalog. The catalog is 15 pages presenting Mauser firearms offered for sale by the United States agent. These firearms include the Broomhandle pistol and carbine, as well as the 7mm and 8mm repeating sporting rifle with firearm illustrations. The front cover is stamped in ink, "CATALOG FILE/No.___ /CTGE. OFFICE". 2) First Lieutenant S. Foltz's "The Mauser Self-Loading Pistol", an extract of an article first published in The Journal of the Military Service Institution. The 13 page article provides a mechanical description of the pistol and results from a test trail. 3) E. Hartmann's "Moderne Faustfeuerwaffen" (Modern Handguns) published in 1902 and later bound in card stock (back cover has a Gaylord Brothers label). Thirty-one pages with three fold out illustrations. "ROBERT E. Harper/4 BIRCH HILL AVE./WAKEFIELD, MASS" is stamped in ink on two pages. Examines handguns of the day such as the Smith & Wesson Russian Revolver, Colt 1900 Semi-Automatic Pistol, Mauser Broomhandle, and Mauser Luger.

Condition: 1) Fine. The catalog has once been folded showing a long crease through the center with some minor wear (mostly along the edges). All pages remain bound. 2) Very good, showing some wear with the front and back covers detached and a staple missing. 3) Fine, showing some minor wear with some heavier wear present on the fold out illustrations. All pages remain bound.
