Manufactured circa 1880s with total quantity estimated at several hundred. This revolver features a .22 caliber, eight shot cylinder and a .32 caliber rimfire single shot center barrel which also acts as the cylinder pin. It has a hammer striker which pivots for selective firing with the revolver or the single-shot center barrel. The barrel pivots downward for loading. A few specimens, such as this one, are marked "MONARCH" on the top strap/barrel latch. The sides of the frame and the back strap feature a broad floral scroll engraving, with a dot/zigzag line and floral pattern incorporated on the right side of the frame. The sides of the barrel have a dot/zigzag line pattern with the .32 caliber barrel also featuring an arrow engraving at the muzzle. The top strap, barrel latch and cylinder are also engraved with the dot/zigzag line pattern with a geometric engraving on the barrel rib. The cylinder is numbered to the gun. Fitted with checkered grips featuring an ornate embossed pattern at the top.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 75% original finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is some light pitting on the cylinder. The slightly undersize grips are very good with the left panel having aged to a brown color and some wear in the checkering. Cylinder is slightly loose.
