Manufactured from 1888 to 1902. This revolver features a rare and highly desirable original factory gold plated finish with a blue trigger guard and casehardened trigger. There is floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel sides, frame, cylinder flats and back strap. The left side is inscribed "CHARLES BARHITE JR" in a panel on the left side of the frame. Consignor notes state that it was a family heirloom and belonged to the great great grandfather. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, and the matching serial number is marked on the butt, barrel and rear face of the cylinder. Pinned blade front and notch rear sights, and fitted with smooth pearl grips.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% original gold plated finish with some wear on the left side of the frame and some scattered flaking in the engraving. The trigger guard retains 99% original bright blue finish with a small amount of minor spotting. The trigger retains most of the original case colors on the protected sides with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent. The engraving and markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. This is a truly rare opportunity to own an original gold plated and factory engraved 1st Model 32 Safety Hammerless. Original gold plated guns are nearly impossible to find and this one survived in excellent plus condition.
