The included Colt factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, blue finish, grade "B" factory engraving and pearl grips. The revolver was shipped to an individual in La Paz, Bolivia, on July 18, 1952 as part of a one gun shipment on order number 7608. The factory engraving is extensive with 85% of the metal surface covered. The factory grade "B" engraving covers the sides of the frame and extends along the sides and top of the barrel. Wedges of the scrollwork appear on the trigger guard, the lower section of the front grip strap and butt with a geometric engraving on the top strap. The area around the hammer is also engraved with a geometric pattern with a flower blossom behind the hammer. The cylinder is scroll engraved with the flutes having a matte blue finish. The cylinder latch is also engraved. The barrel has the two line model/caliber marking on the left side and the one line Hartford address on the right side. The left side plate has the Rampant Colt surrounded by the engraving. The left side of the frame under the grip is stamped "G" and "J" with "S" on the right. Equipped with an elevation adjustable front sight mounted on a lightly engraved serrated ramp and an adjustable Coltmaster rear sight. Checkered hammer and serrated trigger. Dual tone blue finish with polished hammer sides and fitted with pearl grips featuring silver Rampant Colt medallions.
