1913 is generally accepted as the last year that DWM manufactured the 1908 pattern luger pistol. These can be distinguished by the lack of the hold-open device and stock lug. This example has been modified to add the hold open device which was later performed on all 1908 model lugers, after WWI. The top of the chamber is dated 1913 and the front toggle is marked DWM. It has standard factory markings with Imperial acceptance markings on the barrel extension and barrel. The underside of the barrel is also marked "BO24" which indicates it has a Bohler steel barrel. It has the standard rust blued finish with straw colors on the small parts. It is complete with one WWI, nickel plated magazine with the wooden base that is numbered "3624+".
