This is a scarce example of a civilian issue Savage Navy Model percussion double action revolver. Produced in the 1860's. Pin and notch sights, with the three line Savage address and Henry North patent markings on the top strap. Equipped with a heart shaped trigger guard and smooth two piece grips.

Condition: Fine, with 40% of the bright original blue finish, the balance showing a mixed gray patina, scattered surface rust. Original blue is strongest in the protected areas and on the cylinder. Grips are good, with scattered mild dents and some chips on lower right panel. Mechanically excellent.
