Scarce Belgian copy of a Spencer repeating carbine marked “Union Armuriere Belge Liege” on top of receiver, .50 cal., 20” barrel., blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #2375 in overall very good condition showing considerable blue finish remaining on barrel and receiver with scattered spots of erosion and pitting, lockplate and hammer have gone to a silvery tone, action is crisp, bore is good to very good, saddle ring and bar are present, wood is overall good with scattered old mars and dings from carry and storage with sharp 1873-dated cartouche on right side of butt stock and several Belgian proofs on metal parts; a well-made antique copy of the Spencer carbine and hard-to-find example on this side of the pond for American collectors.
