There were only 4000 produced in total under this contract and they can be identified by; most notably the safety area is marked "RUST" instead of Geischert, there are no German proofmarks and they all carry a small Crown over "W" for Queen Wilimena on the right side of the barrel extension. Originally these pistols had a rust blue finish with straw colored small parts. The top of the chamber is correctly blank and it has the standard "DWM" markings on the front toggle. "GELADEN" is correctly marked on both sides of the extractor. The full matching serial number is located on the front of the frame, on the sear bar, trigger and the underside of the barrel. The top of the barrel at the breech is marked "1926" for the year it was Arsenal refurbished. The Dutch refinished their pistols regularly and it was the common practice to mark the date on the barrel. Replacement phosphate finished magazine with unmarked aluminum bottom and fitted with replacement red plastic/bakelite, smooth grips.
