Provided for you in this lot is a Savage Arms NRA Match, bolt-action rifle, chambered in .22 long rifle. The rifle utilizes a walnut stock, blue'd 25 1/4" round barrel, 5-round magazine, and an excellent peep-sight. The rifle shows multiple roll-stamps, reading; "Manufactured by Savage Arms Corp Utica. N.Y. U.S.A. - Patented NOV. 28. 1905. SEP. 4. 1917. NOV. 20. 1917. - SAVAGE NRA MATCH RIFLE" ALL ON TOP OF THE BARREL, ".22 LONG RIFLE" to the left of the safety indicator, "Savage Sporter - .22 Long Rifle Savage Arms Corp. PAT-April 28. 1908" on the magazine. The rifle is also adorned with a grated metal butt-plate, stamped with the trade mark Savage logo. The serial number attributes this rifle between 1923-1933. The firearm is in good operational and cosmetic condition, with a smooth action, strong bore, and 90% + blue finish. The rifle does have some wear indicative of age however, and has been tapped for a third party sight. This firearm requires a Curio & Relic FFL transfer, or NICS background check.
