This is a rare Savage Arms Company Model 1909 slide-action or pump-action magazine fed rifle chambered in .22 short, long, and long rifle caliber's. The rifle shows a serial number of 60.020, as marked on the lower rifle tang behind the trigger guard, and was manufactured in circa 1909 to 1915. The rifle shows a eleven grove deluxe walnut foregrip with straight pull pistol grip walnut stock having a crescent metal butte plate. The rifle also has a 24 1/4 inch full octagon barrel with Marbles Gladstone Michigan U.S.A. tip up rear and Lyman 1909 two adjustment round and white spot front sights. The barrel also shows a heavy end with threaded end having the original checkered cap still present. The receiver shows a high gloss deep blue factory finish with much of the finish, if not most, retained having a fine removable magazine. Behind the receiver mounted to the rifle tang is a rare upgraded Lyman 1905 large tip of and adjustable peep sight, a wonderful target match addition. The rear stock appears to have been worked on or replaced and is slightly lose. The right of the receiver shows a large flat head and serrated screw which allows for a quick take down function. This is truly an unusual and fine rifle that has an impressive design for its over 100 year old age. Serial Number of 60.020 Curio and Relic, FFL Transfer or NICS Background check required.
