STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9 - Quark/Herbert Rossoff (Armin Shimerman) vintage two-piece suit
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9 - This vintage two-piece suit was worn by the character “Herbert Rossoff” AKA “Quark” portrayed by actor Armin Shimerman in the television series “Star Trek: Deep Space 9”, which ran from 1993 - 1999. The Rayon suit consists of a two-button jacket with patch pockets and a matching pair of cuffed pants. The interior of the jacket is complete with the original “Deep Space Nine” wardrobe label sewn inside with the actor’s name “Armin” handwritten in black ink.

Mr. Shimerman wore this outfit notably in multiple scenes from “Far Beyond The Stars”(Season 6, Episode 13). The episode’s premise was highly unusual in the fact that the majority of it was not set in the future, but in 1950’s America as seen in a vision by the captain of Deep Space 9, Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks). Best known as the Ferengi character “Quark” on the series, this episode’s plotline allowed actor Armin Shimerman the rare opportunity to portray a completely different character without his usual alien make up.

The garments are in excellent screen worn condition and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity.

“Star Trek: Deep Space 9” received numerous nominations and wins from the Prime Time Emmy Awards over the course of its six-year run, including a nomination for “Outstanding Costume Design for a Series” to costumer Robert Blackman for his outstanding work on the episode “Far Beyond The Stars”.
