BOLT ACTION NATIONAL MATCH RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1361619. Bbl. 24" marked behind front sight "SA" flaming bomb & "1-38". Bbl. is star gauged on muzzle. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2850 yards w/ volley notch. Face of sight ladder has been polished bright. Blade front sight. Match type sight blade .052 in thickness. Rifle receiver mfg. in 1930. Receiver rails have been polished & has tiny punch mark on right rail. Receiver ring is drilled for Lyman 48 sight. Stock is not inletted. Bolt w/ turned down swept handle. Bolt handle marked on to "N.S." & marked underneath w/ "7". Bolt body electro-penciled on top w/ matching S#. Bolt is polished bright. C Type walnut stock marked over trigger guard w/ faint boxed "D.A.L.". Encircled "P" proof under pistol grip. Marked "S" in cutoff recess. Stock has matching S# at belly just in front of rear swivel. Stock made w/ 2 recoil bolts & w/out grasping grooves. Handguard has slightly convex profile w/out drawing no. All milled furniture including deeply checkered trap buttplate. Grooved trigger. Well worn unmarked Model 1907 military type sling w/ brass hooks. Sling has flexing & cracking. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: blued steel hinged rear sight protector marked "P.J. O'HARE SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. MADE IN U.S.A.". Brass sight protector & muzzle cover by P.J. O'HARE. Sight finish is a well worn mixture of flaking black paint & dark patina. CONDITION: original finish stock set has moderate wear & handling marks expected on a rifle which has seen considerable careFUL use w/ some notable scratching forward of lower band due to improper removal. Metal retains 70% original blue finish w/ areas of wear turning gray. Notable loss of finish on lower band & front sight base. Bore is shiny but lands show light wear.
