SN: N61427 This revolver was sold in The Stembridge Armory Auction at Little John's Auction Service in 2007 with a description that read "Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 DA revolver, .44 mag. cal., 4” barrel, #N61427. Revolver remains in overall good+ condition showing approx. 95% blue finish remaining with scattered nicks and mars from carry and use, adjustable white outline rear sight and red insert front ramp slight, crisp action, sharp markings, target hammer and trigger, bore and cylinders should clean to good, grips appear to be customized factory S&W medallion walnut finger grooved, possibly by Peter Orr (similar gun attributed to same movie had such a tag notation). From the Stembridge Arms inventory with tag noting “Mel GibsonPay Back”. A big frame S&W attributed to an action film starring well-known actor/director Mel Gibson." Includes the original auction tag and a photo of the gun during it's use in the movie. The barrel is pinned, cylinder is recessed and the trigger & hammer are both .500" target-style. Condition rating today is about 83% with aforementioned flaws along with edge wear. Action is smooth with very good lock-up, bore is near excellent with some minor pitting and wood grips are very good with minimal blemishes. Condition is very good. ***Modern Firearm***
