Our Assessment: The Ruger Single-Six is a popular line of single-action revolvers produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. and was first introduced in 1953. The Single-Six revolvers are known for their classic design and robust construction. This example was manufactured in 1984 and is a New Model Single-Six Model 06502, chambered for .32 H&R Magnum. The 32 H&R Magnum was developed and first introduced in 1984 as a joint venture between H&R and Federal Premium ammunition. This caliber offers substantially more performance than most other .32 caliber handgun cartridges, and is considered an effective small-game hunting cartridge. The New Model Single-Six introduced a transfer bar safety system, which allows the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded. The transfer bar prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin unless the trigger is fully pulled to the rear. This Ruger Single-Six has a 5.5" barrel, well preserved blue finish, sturdy hardwood grips, it has tip-top mechanics, and an excellent bore. The Ruger New Model Single-Six is well known for its build quality, reliability and versatility. This well maintained Single-Six will be perfect for cowboy action shooting and will go well in any revolver collection.
