Reverse Painted Silhouettes On Convex Glass (2)
For your consideration are two reverse painted convex glass lithographs depicting Native Americans circa 1950-60s. These silhouette reverse paintings both show nature scenes with Native Americans in the foreground. The first shows a Native American man in a canoe as he drifts down the river. There is a large, towering mountain in the background along with a large moose. The lithograph shows great detail and color. The second in this lot shows a Native American woman standing atop a hill as she waves to the travelers down below. The background shows a horse drawn covered wagon and large towering mountains showing vivid colors. Both pieces are set in thin, identical metal frames showing a striped pattern. No artist mark is present. Both pieces show good condition overall with slight wear present but no signs of obvious damage. The glass is unscratched and there has been little to no paint wear on either. The art pieces measure 8" L x 6" W and have a combined weight of 12 ounces.
