Remington police revolver converted to .38 rimfire caliber, nickel plated, wood grips, serial #7824 on bottom of barrel, conversion #42 near ramrod catch on bottom of barrel. The revolver shows 70-80% old original nickel finish which is starting to drift and tone and some spots of erosion and pinprick pitting where the finish has lifted. The nickel is completely uncleaned, the metal surfaces are unpolished. The barrel addressis sharp, the front sight is an old handmade brass oversize replacement. The grips are good with traces of original varnish. The hammer shows considerable case hardening. The trigger shows considerable blue. The actionis good, bore very good. A fairly scarce frontier era conversion. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
