Remington model 1890 single-action revolver, 7-1/2” barrel, .44-40 caliber, blue finish, hard-rubber grips, serial #1557. The revolver remains in good original condition showing 10-20% original blue drifting to brownish grey patina, some light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The barrel address is good and crisp, the barrel address has been slimmed slightly. There are some marks, dings, scratches, and some slightly heavier pitting on the back of frame in front of cylinder from firing. The caliber marking on the left side of the frame is good. There are initials lightly scratched between the hammer screw and appear to read “DAM”. The grips are good with some high point edge wear. The hammer shows traces of case hardening, the action is good, the bore is very good and still bright. Est: $5,000 - $7,000
