Remington model 1887 Plinker .25-10 Stevens rimfire caliber, blade front sight v-notch rear sight, blue and case hardened finish, standard wood stocks, serial # 662, pictured page 197 Remington Rolling Block Pistols byJerry Landskron. From author’s collection. The barrel show’s 80-90% original blue finish, thinning at the edges, minor scratches, normal aging, the barrel address is sharp and crisp. The frame shows 85-95%colorful case hardening. The trigger guard shows traces of finish drifting to grey patina. The backstrap shows 30-50% colorful case hardening. The small parts show most of their bright original finish. The stocks show some dings, mars, a couple of scratches, but are very good plus overall. Markings are sharp on frame.
