Remington model 1887 Army-framed target pistol. .50 caliber centerfire, 8” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, plain wood stocks, target sights, serial #320. One of 800 produced and 3 known in this caliber. The pistol shows Remington Arms Co barrel address and full patent dates on left side of frame. The barrel shows 90-95% original blue, slightly thinning, with some normal aging. The frame shows 80-90% case hardening with good strong colors. The breech, block, and hammer show most of their original blue. Most of the small parts show original fire blue. The stocks are good to very good with some minor scratches, a few dings and mars. The action is good, the bore is very good and the pistol is pictured on page 198, Remington Rolling Block Pistols by Landskron where it shows the scarce 7-line patent date. From the Jerry Landskron collection. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
